Kel and Chris Visit

Mikes brother Chris and his wife Kel and our nephew came for a visit on January 15th . We spent 4 days touring DC and eating out. Fabulous! Here is a picture of all the kids together

Aiden is 3 months old

Aiden reached the grand old age of 3 months on January 5th. Sadly he is still not sleeping through the night and I fear it may be a VERY long time before he does. He is an incredibly happy baby and rarely cries. He loves to sit in his Bumbo (potty like chair) and hopefully will move onto the exercauser in a few weeks. One of his favorite things to do is stick out his tongue and it has become very difficult to find a picture without his tongue sticking out!

Chicago Trip

We left for Chicago the day after Christmas and drove the twelve hours straight through so that Aiden would sleep. We managed to arrive on the day after the snow left and leave the day before. The kids were disappointed. We were not. Pictures are of our nephew Cooper first birthday party and hanging out with our relatives

Christmas

A few pics of Christmas in the Meno house. We did our tradtion of going to the White House Christmas tree display on chrismas eve and then played board games with family friends. Christmas was spent with three other families with lots of crazy children running around.

Getting ready for Christmas

We are slowly getting ready for Christmas. We finished

decorating the tree, went to see Santa, decorated a

ginger bread house and even mailed out our cards without

too many family fights and crying outbursts..Although

without drama it wouldn't be a Meno Christmas!

Paiges 5 K

Paige ran a 5 k this morning as part of the nationwide

"Girls on the Run program". Noah, Aiden and I cheered her on in the 22 degree

weather as Mike ran with her holding her hand the whole way. She completed

the race in under 37 minutes!

Aiden turns two moths old!

Aiden is now the grand old age of two months

old. His big achievement is that he is laughing

although the laughs are few and far between

and mostly in his sleep. Hopefully by his third

month I will be saying his achievement is

sleeping through the night. A goal he is VERY

far away from!

Thanksgiving

We were very fortunate this Thanksgiving to be able to spend

it with so many friends and family. Mikes old CO and family

was in from Mississippi and three other NMCB 133 families were able

to join us. Mikes parents and sister and her husband also came in

making it a full house. Aiden made making the meal a lot more difficult

than previous years. Thank goodness I had a lot of help..The day would

have run smoothly if our garbage disposal, dishwasher and doorbell had

all decided not to break on the same day but I guess it wouldn't be a real

holiday without chaos in the Meno house!

Aidens first smile

Aiden started smiling on November 3 but it has taken me this long to capture it on camera...He sees that lense pointed in his face and the smile quickly turns into a full blown wail. It's amazing how exciting these little moments are with babies even the third time round. We can have a night of him not sleeping and one smile in the morning makes it all worth it!

SOCCER

The soccer season is finally over!! It lasted a little longer due to rain delays but we now have four evenings a week and our Saturdays back. I shouldn't complain because Mike coaches Paige's team so I get out of those practices but it really is nice to have those days freed up. Now all we have is Paige's running team, Noah's Guitar and Violin, both kids swim team and basketball starting in a few weeks..Life is much easier!

Aidens first month..

I cant believe Aiden is already over a month old..We have been very fortunate with visitors and many gifts from friends and family. Aiden has spent the first month almost entirely in someones arms. The boy does not sleep unless attached to a human body..His favorite position is snuggled in the sling. When Mike gets back from school he will wear Aiden for hours just so I can attempt to clean the house...Here he is snuggled as Mike does school work!

Grandma and Grandpas Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came into to see everyone and meet Aiden right after Nana and Pupa left. We spent a busy week with Halloween, soccer games, shopping, eating out and even squeezed in a visit to Madame Tussaueds. This is their 7th visit to DC in the last 2 years....

for Noah and Paige . This year I had no say. In case you can't

quite decipher what they have chosen Paige is "the Devils Bride" and Noah is a "deranged Surgeon". Nice! At least Aiden lets me

pick what he wears..

Nana and Pupa's Visit

Nana and Pupa arrived three days before Aiden was born to help out with Noah and Paige while I was in the hospital. For three weeks we have had someone to take them to the bus, clean the house and hold a fussy baby...Now really is the test of how well we are coping with the baby as they returned to Scotland on Thursday..If the blog remains empty you can gauge our progress!

Aiden James Meno is here!

Aiden finally arrived on October 5th at 15:58 pm one day after his due date. We had a couple of scares during his birth but he arrived fast after only 5 hours of labor and is doing great now. Our biggest hurdle is dealing with Noah and paige fighting over who gets to hold him.....
